Eike Richter

Eike Richter is Professor of Public Law and was Dean of the Hamburg Police Academy from 2019 to 2013. After studying law, applied mathematics and practical computer science at Justus Liebig University Giessen, he was a research assistant at the Chair of Public Law and Administration there from 2000 to 2007 and then at the Department of Public Law and Political Science at the University of Hamburg. After completing his legal clerkship, he headed up nationwide and Hamburg reform projects as a government councilor from 2007 to 2010. From 2011 to 2012, he headed the legal department and the “Information Technology and E-Government” division of the Senate Chancellery and, from 2015, the “Fundamental Issues of Equality and Gender Identities” division of the Ministry of Justice and Equality. He then worked in the Senate Chancellery's Digital City Control Center.
